Live broadcasting: Serious engagement
Periscope, Blab, Meerkat…you have used these to either watch, or produce a live broadcast to the audience via the Internet. I can tell you, that live broadcasting is going to be huge in the mobile space.
YouTube does have live broadcasting right now. There is also an option to configure an app on iOS for a broadcast…but it isn’t rating well accompanied by a lot of -doesn’t work-. Other encoder options require a desktop operating system. But some people want to broadcast from a mobile device. So, my current work-around is to AirPlay Mirror the device output to a Mac or Windows machine that I have an AirPlay Media Broadcaster running active.
