There is an anti-developer environment culture in the android community. Most of it is due to the precedent that has been set by Google. I even have a name for it. It’s called:
The android user has been conditioned to expect everything to be free. This condition is launched with the procurement of a free android phone and then the user gets free Google software. The applications that the user can get free show up on the pirate market.
So why should the user pay for 3rd party applications when they get top tier software and services for free?
This environment is exactly why Andoid is challenged under the greed of Google. Google doesn’t care what happens, as long as their users are engaged on data point harvesting platforms, and they are getting paid for selling it.
My prediction is….this won’t continue once McMaster gets the components he needs in place to fork android. A better android….a community serving android development effort, that focuses on the regeneration of the resources instead of strip mining the platform like Googiligan does.
Do I hope this happens soon?
I don’t find it to be a matter of hope….it is simply just a matter of time.
