It was a lie

Were you one of them?

It was a lie

NOW THAT YOU KNOW:

  1. Netflix CDN Performance issues were not caused by ComCast (the last MILE ISP.
  2. Netflix own Internet Transit Provider (Cogent) was responsible for throttling Netflix bandwidth because of their business model (retail vs wholesale data transit plans)
  3. The FTC already had legal authority to fine and regulate the LastMile ISPs (and were actually good at keeping them in line)
  4. The FCC’s Net Neutrality regulations are only regulating the actions of the LastMile ISP (like Comcast, verizon, ATT) and nothing further (which is completely useless in the Netflix case because it was NEtflix ITP (Cogent, Level 3, Akamai etc) .which isn’t regulated by the FCC’s Net Neutrality proclamation (yet)

  5. 4 unelected Federal government cheese  employees who have neither the experience, nor the legal authority to regulate everything ‘data packet’ because they sold 4 million American group thinkers that good ol’ FedGoveLove by fear mongering those who are unwilling or unable to RTFM….that Comcast was trying to steal all the freedom from the internets….and your ‘right’ to an ‘open’ internet needed to be ‘preserved’.

Were you one of them?

NOW THAT YOU KNOW the truth behind the effort, rather than ask you what it feels like to be the FedGov’s ceremonial WOG ⌘⌘⌘⌘⌘ in the crossing of this line, I would just like to know how we can all figure out how to un⌘⌘⌘⌘⌘ this ….Net Neutrality.

The good thing is there is a manual for this.

RTFM

The net neutrality rules are going to court. Here are the six arguments most likely to sink them once again.
