Smart phone Emergency and Amber Alert Notifications

Your iPhone has the capability to inform you of goings-on in your local community when it comes to weather emergencies and the Amber Alert system. All you have to do to receive these alerts is tick a couple of toggles in the notification system setup in settings. I’ll show you how to do that.

In the previous image, you can see that my local community had a child abduction and an Amber Alert was generated when non-custodial parents took their biological child to New Mexico.

The Alert gave city, plate#, vehicle description and an update. The kid was eventually saved after an alert store attendant responded to the Amber alert by contacting police.

On the iOS Springboard you will open the

Tapping on the Notifications and then scrolling all the way to the bottom you will see the AMBER Alerts and Emergency Alerts toggles
