Paralleling the Mac OS X beta program, Apple has opened up beta testing for iOS. Having been a member of the iOS developer community for the past six years beta testing new firmware can be quite an adventure. Now that Apple has opened up the program to anyone who wants to apply to be a beta tester, a larger pool of data can be agregated and a higher quality product can be produced.
Unlike the iOS developer program, there is no cost, but not everyone will be accepted. However, I’m encourage anyone who is curious or interested in beta testing iOS to apply and enjoy learning something new. Make sure you read the requirements and pay attention to the nondisclosure.
