I appreciate how much effort went into this.
Obviously, the gesturing was well thought out.
Or was it?
Watching the demo, it is easy to get captivated by the dynamic visual presentation that is generated by the user…so it’s really cool to watch someone turn digital book pages 3 and 4 at a time…but why in the hell would you need to?
This is the perfect example of someone who was so focused on developing a digital book UI gesture schema, that was good enough for it to be a spectator sport. The only problem is people don’t read to be watched or observed. Also, no one reads books like this.
Reading gets accomplished one word at a time, one page at a time…left to right and top to bottom. No need to get fancy with the 4 page flips.
It’s still an amazing thing to watch.
