Kid hacker pwns Mom for $250 in Pokémon toys | Crime

Don’t sleep…

Girl hacker
Mmmmm…Pokémon Toyz…

6 year old Ashlynd Howell from Little Rock Arkansas (not pictured above) decided she needed some Pokémon toys, so she wanted to do some shopping. Her mom, Bethany, quietly slept on the couch. Since her device was, ‘protected’, with biometric security, Ashlynd simply lifted her mothers fingerprints while she was snoozing.

You snooze, you lose

Using the Amazon app, Ashlynd then proceeded to place 13 orders for Pokémon swag totaling about $250. When the Howells got the notifications from Amazon that 13 orders were placed, they feared they had been hacked. And they were right.

“No, Mommy. I was shopping.”, proclaimed little Ashlynd.

The Howells were able to return 4 of the items.

Consider the other 9 a lesson learned.

Freakin’ awesome.
